Day 30 marked our halfway point and man, was today a doozie!
I was at the studio at 6:45 this morning for two classes, back to back. The first class went smoothly. I took it easy, saving my strength to kick it into high gear for the 9 a.m. class.
I had about 45 minutes in between classes and in that time I shopped, chatted, changed, ran to and from my car several times, ate a banana standing up, etc. I didn’t sit down or drink much water (a total no-no), so I have to say I was worried when class number two started.
It wasn’t my best class. I was woozy and tired. My body felt so exhausted that I actually started tearing up halfway through. Seriously?! I was thinking about some situations in my life that on a normal day wouldn’t make me misty eyed but today, I just couldn’t control it.
I didn’t go into a full-blown bawl but I was definitely feeling raw. Luckily it only lasted a few minutes. I can’t say I was entirely surprised by my rush of emotion. Early in the challenge, I did predict possible crying.
I couldn’t get home fast enough after my four hour stint at the studio. I took a nap after lunch but I’m still not feeling up to par. Next time I do a double, and there will be a next time, I’ll know to rest and just drink water in between classes.
I’m going to call it a night. I’m coming back to the blog fresh tomorrow so I can tell y’all about Nichole and her awesome yoga clothes. I even bought a sassy new outfit! More details to come…
Day 30–it’s all downhill from here.
